Big Brother 8: Sunday July 29 - Another night of tears

July 30th, 2007 · No Comments

Well this time around seems to be the ’season of tears’ to be sure and last night’s episode was no exception. The queen of cry Amber continues her reign by loosing it for nearly half of her screen time. Crying for joy, crying for sadness, crying because the timer on the microwave ‘dinged’.

Evil Dick(ED) did a fine job irritating Amber after she proclaimed that her love for her dog was on equal terms as her daughter.   ED is a master at getting under someone’s skin and demonstrated it perfectly as he badgered Amber until she walked away furious.

It’s not all roses for ED, he is still valiantly trying to talk to Danielle and repair their strained relationship.   Danielle continues to resist his pleas to patch things up.  Perhaps if she would just have a sandwich now and then she’d be more open to forgiveness.   It’s hard to be personable when you are hungry,  it can make your cranky.

Somebody really needs to tell America’s Douche bag Eric to put that collar down.  This isn’t 1984 and he is not in a John Hughes movie set in a Chicago suburb.   So far I’m not a big fan, but he has done an excellent job of staying out of trouble and being everyone’s friend.

It was Dustin’s turn as HOH and he made a safe and wise choice by putting up the two least favored houseguests: Jen and Kail.   For some reason I’m disliking Jen less and less every episode.  Maybe her quirky narcissism is growing on me.   Hard to say really, but I’m no where near  becoming a ‘Jensa Member’.

Kail on the other hand continues to get more annoying with every word she utters.  As a ‘multiple business’ owner I’m very disappointed in her ability to play this game.   She started out with a decent plan.   This went to hell quickly after she completely lost it after her failed attempt to get ED evicted last week.

Jameka and the eighth grader Jessica won the food competition this week.   In addition to getting to eat real food for the week, part of the prize was to designate 5 houseguests who’ll be on slop.   They made safe choices picking the unpopular kids Kail, Jen, Zach, Nick, and just to be ‘fair’  ED for not having a turn at the slop yet.

What is the deal with Zach anyway?  Up until last night he wasn’t portrayed as any more annoying the Mike.   Now we see that he is unloved by everyone, maybe it’s because he doesn’t wear anything that doesn’t say ‘Dolphin Crash’ on it.
